Hi Janice! My sister in law's name is Janice :)

Welcome to Quit Train! Take a seat right here in first class! You deserve the very best. Please take time to explore the site. There's a ton of helpful information here and a whole video library on the subject of nicotine addiction and quitting the smokes.

Make an unwavering commitment to quit and follow through no matter what quit symptoms you experience because they will only be temporary and you will have a whole legion of other quitters here cheering you on and supporting you throughout your quit so let's get started.

There's only 1 rule - N.O.P.E. (Not One Puff Ever) As long as you adhere to that, you will be successful and you will be free from the slavery of nicotine addiction! There's no right or wrong way to quit as long as you never put anything in your mouth and set fire to it. It's pretty simple. Millions have done it - why not you?

Hi Janice! I’m pretty new here too. 6 weeks quit! Girl, this is the place to be for help. All of us here are not only here for ourselves but for each other! The most important thing to do right now is to watch the videos and read all of these posts from over the years from people who have gone through what you will. Every story is different and every quit unique. But what they did have in common was this site!!! Reach out when you need support and keep us updated on your journey. Your story will help someone else one day! 🤗 I hope that you will make the decision to start your quit soon!

Hi @Janice I'm glad you are here and that your friend helped in a time of need . Everyone above is awesome and has given a wealth of knowledge and information  . I know for any surgery smoking is the best thing you can do for healing and once you get the freedom train ride bug and get comfortable you will want that beautiful trip on freedom train every day . It's real . Life is so much better without a cigarette in hand .

Welcome Janice.  This is a great place for support in quitting but you do have to do the work.  It is best to stay close to the forum and educate yourself.  Everyone on this site has been where you are and can help you through the tough spots.  Throw the cigarettes away and just get started.  You can do this!

Welcome aboard Janice.

The best time to quit is right now.

There's no advantage in putting it off and the benefits of quitting begin the moment you ash out the last one.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
