Never really noticed it, but I spent a lot of time doing nothing as I smoked.

Now I have all this time on my hands.

Work is up to date, office is clean, phone calls returned, and it's only halfway thru the day.

Been sneaking out for a run every few days-

Breathing feels good

NOPE

You're right! Once we quit there's a lot of idle time we have to fill now with something more constructive. It happens but it does take time. Soon enough you'll be looking back wondering how you ever had enough time to smoke!

Here's a link to a  post someone named Eric made years ago. It's an interesting read and explains exactly what you're experiencing now.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
