Yesterday was not a great day as I said. Had some news that had me stressed and worried. Smoking was the first thing that comes to my mind.it was always my go to when I was upset. Have to deal with it some other way. Reached out to a friend and that did help talking about it but it is not easy sometimes

So sorry for the stressful news Linda.  In the early days of our quits, it is hard not to reach out to our addiction to calm our difficulties.    Just keep praising yourself for powering through them so far.   You have quit smoking, which is an unbelievably difficult task.  Eventually the picture will all fall into focus and you will see that the unpleasantries in life are nothing compared to consequences of feeding our addictions.

Hi Linda, sorry you're stressing. What I would do is keep telling myself that nonsmokers don't crave a smoke when they're stressed. And I used my JAC a lot the first six months!

Hope you feel better tomorrow🤗

@Linda I hope the situation that is causing your stress works itself out as soon as possible. Going back to smoking won't help, even if that nicotine monster is telling you it will.

I'm glad you are here and I wish you Luck!

Way to go Linda. Stick with it because you are building a stronger quit everyday. Just keep reminding yourself daily that you deserve a happier and healthier life.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
