@Linda I hope as you progress in your quit you'll see that you're taking that post wrong. Stating a fact isn't complaining about it its just stating the fact.

As old phartes we try to give newbies clues as to what worked or didn't work for them in the hopes that it helps someone else. So if we know that we had or could of had an easier quit by embracing the positives instead of the negatives we want to pass that clue on. That's all it was...

I hope you'll continue to post about your journey and if you don't want to post on the boards, we have blogs you can create too. I used to read my journey from the start each monthaversary just so I wouldn't forget where I came from 🤗

I am doing great. I rarely think of smoking but when I do the cravings are easy to push aside. I just tell myself that I'm a non smoker and that's my new normal.

I'm doing fair.  I have good and bad days.  I have not smoked or used any other kind of tobacco product for over six weeks now.

I still don't know if I've quit smoking, or if I have only stopped smoking again.  I'm trying to be as positive as I can.

@Mac#23 You were here when I first joined this forum last year. We were both early in our quits. I could tell, back then that you had this whole quit process under control mentally. I Congratulate you on the great job you've done!

Still getting used to not smoking in many situations where i'd normally light up.

Overall feeling good, and while this hasn't been easy it's been manageable.

At least thats my opinion-man

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
