No glitter, sorry to report. I'd be perfectly content to have a couple of handfuls occasionally; I just don't seem to have come equipped with the basic equipment. Story of my life. . .I've been really depressed over 12 pounds weight gain. I don't plan on using that for an excuse to smoke- just how I've been feeling. On the positive side, the cravings to smoke have lessened considerably so that I am having many hours in a day where the obsessional thoughts are not happening. No cough except when I've tried to kill myself on a piece of gym equipment! I am also totally amazed and appalled at how frigging creative my denial system is and just how plain stupid it is some days. I'm starting to adjust to living life as a non-smoker, and more and more I'm seeing how it is not just a change in a behavior but a change in a mindset, touching on just about every aspect of my life--exercise, eating habit, self image, hobbies, you name it, it seems to need to be looked at in order not to return to smoking.But. . . When I get a bit stuck in my head and feeling all dark and shit, I go outside and see this! It is a really good spring around here this year!

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
