Hi

Im new to your boards.  I’ve been smoking for 40 yrs.  I’ve decided to quit.  In reading it advices to pick a quit date and I’ve ordered patches through the quit smoking helpline here.  I know I’ll still be getting nicotine but I honestly don’t think I can stop on my own.
I don’t know why but I’m nervous, I guess the withdraw worries me.  I know it’s an addiction and having a family member addicted to drugs, it worries me.  He got off the drugs but it took close to death to do it.
I know it sounds silly that I would have anxiety but I have anxiety disorder.
mom hoping someone can give me some help.
mom going to start breaking habit on when I smoke, like driving, talking on the phone, and first thing in the morning.
Thanus for any help.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
