Wow being a diabetic is a whole new ballgame. My sister has been one for yrs & I thought when she would "crash" it was some drama queen BS but now I know its not. Been feeling crappy for like 3 yrs but the dr. finally nailed it last fall & within this past month my numbers are getting alot better & wow having good numbers makes you want to exercise & eat right NOT just to  lose weight but to not feel so "bitchey" which I'm so happy not being lately. But I'm open to getting advice from those who also have this, alot of what I know I get from online especially on You Tube-they have videos showing you how to test etc. Thanks guys for the help. :king:

hi beth, sorry to hear you have this condition :( but its good they discovered it, I do not have diabetes but cared for many and have it in the family

are you on medication for it or doing via diet?

nutrition education will be your best friend as so many foods have hidden sugars in them ie

white bread

sauces

anything that comes in a box or a can is loaded with sugar

fruit juices

booze etc

there are some great free books on it o the web - if you have a kindle amazon is great

anything you can do to avoid going on the injections is worth the effort

I was out with my cousin the other week and every hour he was having to test his blood and he kept testing mine too! - its not fun :(

also I think there are many forums out there for it which could be worth joining?

and no you have not been crabby   lol xx

good luck with it PM me if you want to x
