Keeping my mouth occupied with something is how i managed a 6 month quit too

Otherwise it feels like simply staring into the computer screen

It can get very boring that way

Welcome johnboo and congratulations on six weeks quit. Hopefully by now you're feeling a little better. You may want to tell your dr about your panic attacks. He can  maybe prescribe a temporary med to help you past this part of your quit. If it you already take meds for them they may need to be adjusted now that you've quit.

Hey johnboo, congratulations on your quit !

You have come to the right place.  You must educate yourself about nicotine addiction, this will help you understand what is going on.

Nicotine withdrawal does not last six weeks or cause panic attacks.  Smoking often hid underlying health issues, please consult a health professional with your concerns.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
