I just wanted ONE.... yeah, sure I did! Who's trying to fool who?

Recommended Posts

Yesterday, while driving home, I had one of those sudden craves come out of nowhere. I thought well, who's to stop me if I buy a pack, and smoke just that ONE to satisfy this urge? And of course I knew, without a doubt, that I'd smoke 3 or 4 in the first hour, and then desperately look for a time/place where I could SNEAK SMOKE the rest of the pack. And then buy another pack tomorrow... and another the next day... and so on and so on....

So, I just went home. Smoke free and happy. :-)

Way to go! It's safe to say at this point in your quit, it's not a crave. Just some leftover, stored away junkie thinking. Good job kicking it to the curb!!!

No such thing as one--and even that one isn't what the brainwashing wants us to believe.

NOPE

It is weird when a thought - refuse to call it a crave cos it isn't - sneaks up on you from no-where- and I still get them. The good news though - for any newbies or lurkers reading this - is when those thoughts happen- they become easier and easier to recognise and reject !a0d0423989cfe63dbac86525c36d6b54_zpsff34

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
