It's baaaack!

 

So usual rules apply...you have a weekish to cast ya votes, all votes are anonymous BUT comments are welcome and encouraged...I've tried, as always to habe someone from the Americas, Europe and of course the great land down under...

 

So for the return poll I've opted to go with one where I think the original will be a lay down mazare...but ya never know ya luck in the big city so here goes.

 

1. The original - James Taylor

 

2. Marcia Hines...who is representing the Aussies, even if she did spend the first 16 years of her life in the USA....for the record, I thought this was the original. The time difference change at the end gives it a different feel...yep campaigning for my local fave.

 

3. From the UK...we have Birdy

 

4. Finally we have the one and only Willie Nelson.

Aaah...James Taylor....2nd album I ever purchased! Loved it then and still love it! Seeing James Taylor in concert is truly amazing...now as for the other choices....

 

Marcia Hines has a beautiful voice and this song suits her....I enjoyed listening and will search out her other stuff!

 

Birdy is also quite good.....

 

Willie Nelson is an acquired taste...I liked his take on this song though!

 

I guess this let's you know who I voted for...

James, but I may have too many memories associated with the original to be completely objective.  They all have amazing voices, and I love Willie but not so much on this song.

I voted for Willie.  

 

Three reasons: (1) I really like Willie Nelson.  (2) I'm sure James Taylor's version will garner the most votes and (3) I feel a bit of guilt about telling a friend of mine that I like The Mavericks version of "Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain" better than the original.  This vote was a way of making amends to Willie.
