any budding Yogi`s in here?

I have just started doing Yoga and I LOVEEEEEEEEEEE it!

I always dismissed it before as I preferred more action and motion and to be honest was as flexible as a telegraph pole

but its great, I'm definitely more flexible but have a long way to go,  its surprisingly good at strengthening and toning and relaxing the mind, I like to mix it up a bit with some weights and a resistance band

So if like me you thought it might not be for you, you might just be surprised, I hope you give it a go 💪

I'm more of a Boo Boo than a Yogi.

That being said, I do perform some yoga poses during my mobility training sessions.  I take a little time each day to do the half pigeon pose.  Started doing the half pigeon when I was having some issues with my sciatic nerve.  That particular pose helped a lot.

I'm not getting any younger so anything I can do to open up my hips and shoulders is worthwhile.  I also do the following poses: cobra, bridge, low lunge, boat, and downward facing dog.

Namaste...

that's awesome @Boo i`m more boo boo too but like the sound of yogi 😜

I hear you on the getting older part, I thought I would creak, crack and fluff 💩 my way through but was surprised, the Cobra is the hardest for me as my back seems to be the least flexible.

I checked out some books from the library and have some apps on my phone which I found very helpful so I practice at home now, hopefully in the spring I will join a legit Yoga club as I have only attended classes at the gym.

I don't think I will be doing this pose....

Do you know that saying 'namaste' is illegal in Alabama.  lol.

I LOVE the half pigeon.  Best for my psychotic (sciatic) nerve.

I do some poses at home but, do more yoga like stuff I make up in the water.

Uggh have not done much over the past 10 days, we have stopped going to the gym (Just a germ pool) and I haven't done any Yoga as too stressed which is ironic as that's when I need to be doing it the most, so today its written on my to do list
