I am glad to hear that gum is not a regular thing anymore, S, and really happy that you have quit smoking.

I know it hasn't been easy for you.

Be mindful that every time you take a gum you are re-igniting nicotine addiction

and you won't be experiencing the full health benefits that come with being free.

I know you worry about your health, you may want to consider the effects of nicotine gum.

You have been using for a while now.

Harmful Effects of Nicotine

and here is a list of the side effects of nicotine gum.

Your 'bad moods' could well be caused by this.

Increased blood pressure

Fast heart rate

Dizziness

Insomnia

Irritability

Loss of appetite

Indigestion / heartburn

Hiccups

Increased salivation

Indigestion

Nausea

Vomiting

Cough

Gas

Sore throat

Oral irritation

Dental

Congratulations Sunshine .... 4 months is a great quit ....

Try and wean yourself away from  the odd gum ,when you get a mood ....then you can feel even prouder for being nicotine free totally....

Even folks who have never smoked get moody sometimes ....it will pass ....

I know you have fought hard for this ....I'm happy for you ...

It is good to hear about your plan to ditch the gum after your studies.

Excellent news.  I think you will feel a whole lot better when you do.

Try breathing deep, something that is always available to replace the crutch.

I see this as a recovery process these days instead of simply quitting smoking

Too much poison have went in already
