Sonicare

Recommended Posts

I've been thinking of getting one of those myself.  Did your dentist recommend it?  You'll have to let me know how you like it after using it for a week or two.  :)

She did recommend it.  She said she had the cheaper one and it has lasted her 6 years.  Others here have the more expensive one.  I will let you know.

I use the Sonicare Diamond Clean and love it.  My dentist uses it and she told me to get it so I  back in Feb 2013 so I did.  It took me awhile to get used to but now it feels strange to use the SOS pads that I had always used.  As it turned out, the steel wool wasn't too good for the enamel on my teeth but I got them sprayed at the local body shop pretty cheap and they even through in some metal flake for no extra charge.

I keep forgetting to turn it off when I take it out of my mouth.  Keep getting toothpaste everywhere!

I know what you mean. .. I've had to spend a little more time cleaning my mirror since I got my Sonicare.   :P

My brother and twin sister are dentists, and the recommend Rotadent.

Good Lord - did a google search on Rotadent versus Sonicare...people take dental hygiene VERY seriously..one review likened the debate to PC versus Mac!

I may even pull the trigger on one to see what all the fuss is about...(although as an Islander - I'm clearly a lost cause already ;) )

WYE -

I have crossed to the dark side...

Research indicates that in the UK - the battle is between the mighty Sonicare (Phillips) and the equally butch Oral B (Braun)

I finally pulled the trigger on the Oral B Triumph 5000

I shall report back!
