Allright... I HATE driving on the highway. I'm a white-knuckled,

two-hands-firmly-on-the-wheel teeth-grinding, jaw-clenching menace on the road. Today, I had to go see my foot doctor... from where I was, the GPS steered me onto Interstate 295 for TWENTY TWO MILES!!!!! :(

Big trucks everywhere... to the left of me, to the right of me, coming at me from behind... a complete and utter nightmare. If I were a smoker, I would've smoked half a pack, minimum! That's what I USED to do....

But... then HOW did I keep both my hands on the steering wheel? I guess I didn't... smoking was more important than safety, obviously. And while I realize that not everyone drives with two hands on the wheel, I DO wonder about the rationalization behind it when you're a dyed-in-the-wool smoker. What was I thinking?

As a non smoker, I clench the steering wheel and hang on for dear life. As a smoker, I must've been a dare-devil, huh? Steering with one hand, smoking with the other...

:D

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
