Last Friday was the first full day of quitting so a mini milestone.

I'm doing fine with no mega cravings. I think what made the big difference is that I've no choice, rather than it being just a wish to quit. Claudication in the leg was the catalyst.

Great job on the first week -- which can be the most difficult.  Looks like you have the right attitude.  Congrats and definitely take some time to celebrate today -- really not a mini milestone but a strong milestone which to build on!!!!!

Congratulations mightyboosh.

1 week isn't a mini milestone, it is a huge milestone.  That first week is the toughest.

Keep up the great work.

Well Mightyboosh, some of us have gone through a terrible diagnosis and still smoked.    I will admit that I was one of them.  Fortunately I was given the opportunity to come to my senses and quit.

So, give yourself a well deserved pat on the back for getting through week #1!   The first week is the toughest.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
