Hi Amy, how ya feel'n ??

You've already gotten some great advice and wonderful support from the good folks here,.... don't really have much that can be added, but i will say, (re-say whats been said), we are here for you hon,...anything we can do to help you know we will.... we've all had our "bad" times with our quit... we all know first hand how hard it can be some days... BUT we also all know ( you  know this too) that wonderful feeling of accomplishment  we get from staring down a crave- holding on- fighting past and coming out the other side still smoke free... you can do this sweetie...remember, beating an addiction is not a "smash it like a bug" and you're done with it forever.... it's more like,  a job, you don't want... but you have to do to live... so you "go to work" each and every day...as you know- most new jobs are hard... but as the day's pass you start to get the hang of things.. and it get's easier...you just have to get past the first (hard) part of this "new job"... it's  a matter of putting in the time.... and understanding as time pass's you get stronger and better at your "job".....

some one told me once, "you can't stop time Lace- you can only move with it- what you do today will be the begaining of who you are tomorrow - those todays that become tomorrows become the new you - TIME doesn't care if you are a better you 6 months from now,... but you will."

I hope Amy is okay with me telling y'all this......

She is doing good.  She is still quitting.  She is just internalizing everything (hell week is rough) and she will be back.  She is one heck of strong woman.   And I really do admire her.  She's not giving up. And I like that.

We're here Amy.  Remember that sometimes our minds can be our own worst enemy.  It sounds like you're holding your own but please remember to stay close to this board and post and SOS if you need to.  We'll be here and put some coffee on when you're ready.  :)

Thanks for the update Tiff.

Glad you're still quit Amy. When you feel you're ready, I hope to hear from you! I believe strongly in you and know you are more than capable of keeping your quit. I understand, it can all be so overwhelming. Just know we're here when you need us. :)

Thinking of you guys today/tonight/this morning (whatever)!

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
