Then I have to assume that you must been a very industrious student.  Were you?

I was.  I worked pretty hard at school.  Last two years I had two jobs and an internship/volunteer work so grades slipped a bit but still managed to do well.  Worst classes were probably o-chem, linear algebra and all history classes.  I hated history.

History classes were my favorite and I always seemed to breeze through them with ease.  Accounting came easy as did business classes but chemistry was incredibly boring, difficult and I hated every minute of it.  Art history was the single most excruciating class I ever took.  The first exam I failed in a huge way.  Our scores were posted outside the classroom by our student ID number and mine was dead last.  46%.  I'll never forget that the girl in front of me said "Oh my God!  Look at that score!  46%!  How could anybody score that low in Art History?"  I looked closer saw it was my score and said "****!!" The girl turned around and looked at me and I said "yep, that's me.  Thank me for the curve later."  lol  :ok:

I went to the teacher (who was a very strict German woman) and I asked her for a re-do.  I made up some sob story about an ill family member or something and she gave me a week to prepare and re-take and I got a C-.  I was thrilled with this grade.

I went to community college first and majored in Math. I loved all my Calc classes.  I remember my Calc 3 teacher was huge...crazy pregnant...like about to pop.  She had a really strong New York accent, talked really fast and was difficult to understand...but I really liked her.  Unfortunately I remember nothing of calculus and had to reteach myself Algebra 1 this year so I could help my stepdaughter with it.

When I got to Penn State, my favorite class was Bio 240: Function and Development of Organisms.  First half was animals and second half was plants.  The teacher for the first half was this goofy little Canadian guy.  He was awesome.  I had him for Genetics too and I also really enjoyed that class.  He once marked a question wrong on a test because I used a method leanred in a different class to come up with the answer and got a different answer than him.  I went to his office to ask why it was wrong because I was really confused.  He stared at it for a while and couldn't figure out why it would be wrong so gave me the credit.  I bet that stumped him...having two different answers be correct for the same question.  :)

Oh yes...Art history.  Awful class.  Don't remember what I got but I remember sleeping...alot.  Or just not going.

Oh I did this once too.  Got a C in a Mammology test.  I had waited till the night before to study...which happened to be the superbowl.  So I watched the superowl and planned on just staying up all night to cram but wound up falling asleep.  I went to him and said I had been sick and he was like "Oh, I thought you looked under the weather that day."  Well, yeah I tried to stay up all night.  He didn't make me retake it...just bumped my grade up to a B.  :)
