Describe your perfect day.

Oh dear...that's a tough one.  I could really use a day at the beach right not.  I really miss the beach!  But since that's probably not going to happen I'd take a day on the lake...fishing with my new pole that I got for christmas...with a cold beer in my hand....hubby by my side....fish biting.

How many and what animals do you have? Do they all have names? Which his your favourite?

Right now I have two cats.  Toby is the inside cat and Mama is the outside cat.  Four dogs:  Ace, Rex, Cami and Nila. (Pics are in my gallery).   Down to one pig (finally)...he is Big Murray.  Unfortunately, he will be going to the slaughter house soon which is really sad bc I like him alot.  I get way too attached to the farm animals.  We've had a bunch of cows and tons of pigs and this is only the second pig we will be slaughtering and I am only really allowing it bc the hubby's parents want the meat.  I am learning though...that's what they are raised for.   :(

What would be your dream job?

What is your favorite desert?

Do you consider yourself more funny or serious in real life?

I actually already had my dream job.  Used to be lead keeper at a big cat/bear sanctuary here in TX.  That's actually why I moved here for the job.  Left about 2 years ago.   :(  It was an awesome place...I learned so much and the animals were amazing.  Nothing like going to sleep and waking up to a lion's roar.

Wait...I feel a bit stupid...but dessert or desert?  I had to google cause I couldn't remember which was which.  I have never been to a desert.  And dessert, I never really eat it.  Hubby rarely takes me out anymore...maybe once a year to go out to dinner.  I usually eat so much food there is never room for dessert.

Probably more serious in real life...definitely lately.

Which his your favourite?

Forgot this question.  Ace is my favorite.  I feel bad picking one but I know it, he knows it, and everyone else knows it so there's no harm in saying it out loud.  Ace and Cami are allowed on the bed and couch whenever hubby isn't home.  Nila is allowed on the couch whenever there is a thunderstorm or people are shooting.  Rex is never allowed on any furniture.  You can kinda tell my favorites as to who gets to come into bed with me.   :P

I am so hooked on bass fishing. I love fishing at Lake Fork. I grew up on Lake Palestine…. I want to buy a bass boat so bad right now.  My job is killing that idea though. I never have time off to fish or anything else for that matter.

What lake do you and hubby fish at?

Posted

We usually just fish at eagle mountain lake.  He has a boat...not sure what kind but it doesn't run...want to buy it?  :)  A guy he did some work for lets us fish off his dock and stay in lake house sometimes.  That has been our vacation the las few years.  It's pretty fun.  We usually catfish there...but you can always see the bass just out of reach.  My step son noodled a catfish las year there...I think it was like 14 lbs.  Will have to try to find a pic.

So it's a derogatory term then, that's not very nice.

Did your love of fishing come from sharing time with hubby or have you always fished?

Posted

Hey!  I answered this the other day and it didn't go through....hate that.  Technically I am Aquarius.  But every once in a while I will find a publication that classifies y as a Pisces.  Guess I am on the cusp.  I think I like Pisces qualities better than Aquarius.  My aquarius horoscopes and stuff always seemed boring to me.

He just calls me redneck bc I live in TX.  I moved here from PA...and fell in love with a cowboy...not really but good story!  Ha!

I have always liked fishing but never really got to do it a lot, so was never really good at it.  As kids, we always went down to the creek and caught salamanders and minnows.  Then we took the minnows to the pond and tried to catch fish with a hook, rope and a stick.  We didn't catch many fish.

The last two years I've got to do some fishing with the hubby and kids.  His son s big into fishing too.  I never really got to go with them before bc I would have to work all the time but since I have been able to it's been so much fun.  I like catfishing the best.  I like fishing for perch too bc that's pretty easy.

I don't like to eat a lot of fish though.  Don't like perch.  I really like catfish if it's fresh.  After it's been frozen, it gets a fishy smell/taste to it and I hate that.

Do you say "pop" or "soda"?

Soda.  But before I moved to I moved to Tx I only drank Pepsi.  The soda machine at work didn't have Pepsi so I drank root beer.  Now I can't drink Pepsi...too sweet.

Okay, but before you moved to Texas, you didn't say "pop" as a general term for soft drinks like Pepsi, Coke, Dr. Pepper, Fanta, Mountain Dew, 7up, Snapple, Faygo, Sprite, Canada Dry, A&W, Shasta, Sunkist Orange, Barq's root beer, Mug root beer, RC Cola, Mellow Yellow, Diet Rite or even Stewarts?

Ohio and Pennsylvania are known for saying pop.  What makes you special?  You forget where you came from? lol

I think that's central and western PA.  I was just outside of Philadelphia.  We all say soda.  But when I went to college at Penn State lots of people said pop.

I used to say wooder (for water) too before I went to college.  My dad and sister still say it and the kids laugh at them.

Ah Penn State.  Have you ever been to the creamery for ice cream?  We have a cabin not too far from Penn State.

Yep..loved the creamer.  And I worked at Ye Old College Diner.  Had to send my cousin (she went there) sticky buns.  Hated that place!  Drunk students and drunk alumni!
