Seaton, It's OK if you are shy, this is the internet you can be whomever you want to be.  That said, mostly we are a supportive community and wish to know a little about you.  I, myself would never introduce myself in a public group, the shyness takes over...but it is different here, trust me.   Not only have I supported my 11 month quit...but I have made friendships here that have made up for the superficial real life ones.   I trust some people here than I do in real life, what does that tell you?  We are here to support you, please let us know how we can help?

Seaton - I don't think I have met you.

Can you tell me if you think we are crazy?

You all seem to have fun.

Favorite book Candide!! Color me impressed.

I could never get into Voltaire.  I did, however play a substantial role in getting a grant awarded to a publishing house I interned at, mainly for getting canonized philosophers digitalized.  Voltaire was one of the focus points.

I lean more towards the Molière school of thought.  :buba:  ;)

I have wanted to see Twelve Angry Men - Allen Carr makes reference to it in his book.

Do you prefer MN or miss LA?

Any pet peeves?

Cellphones, wizard boxes and electronic gadgets when used to the distraction of ignoring other's safety, personal space or plain courtesy. Nothing screams ME MOST IMPORTANT when someone is locked into the electronic world.

Who are the cats in the picture? (Good picture by the way!)

A friend does TNR and stray rehoming. That is a pair she has helped in the past year. She is full up with kitties now.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
