Congratulations @Kdad for being 7 months smoke free!

Well done! Seven months is a really solid start and such a great foundation for your forever quit. Would love to hear how you celebrated!... There should definately have been a reward.

Congrats on 7 months smoke free Kdad! Hope you celebrate the achievement and keep protecting what you have built. Start planning for how you will reward that 1 year mark because it will be here before you know it :)

Thanks all!!!! My reward was new shirt and shorts for the summer. Yay for boring adulthood.

Wow! Try and take it easy on the rewards there Kdad. Next thing you know you'll be picking up a new lawn rake or something😁

So, all kidding aside, 8 months ago you'd be talking yourself into settling for less when getting new summer clothes because having enough $$ to feed your addiction would have automatically been your first priority. It's amazing the changes quitting brings to us. We no longer structure our whole lives around smoking. It's great to be finally free of all that!

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
