My version of running for the last 2 days - have to admit I am hanging out to get back to the gym to re-add weights to my cardio and also that maybe I am missing my trainer just a bit !!

Tomorrow is my first 5K ever and I am looking forward to it - I am signed up for one in February, March and April already as well.

Needless to say I am enjoying this not smoking thing quite a bit.  I am in better shape a few weeks from 40 (gulp) then when I was in my 20's.

Was a bit sore from yesterday, but took some Motrin.  Went to gym # 2 for Spin class and Total body conditioning class.  It feels good to be exercising regularly again.

So this weekend I did a lot and my arms, shoulders and back got one heck of a workout.  That left one thing, went to gym #1 and did running/walking intervals for 53 minutes.  66 oz of water by 10 am too.  Need a shower!

Run Walk intervals 25 minutes at Gym #1, then Total body Muscle conditioning class at Gym #2 for 45 minutes.  Didn't stretch yesterday after running and am feeling it in one calf muscle.  Really loving this shiatsu massage with heat contraption right about now.

Back to the gym yesterday and then my first session for the year with my trainer .... I can now no longer feel my legs - must be her way of telling me she missed me too ! :-)

Gym #2 Cardio/Total Muscle Conditioning = 20 minutes of weird dancing and 25 of weights...deadlifts, triceps kickbacks, upright rows, anterior raises  etc. etc.

Oho, I just discovered this! Count me in!

Today, because I'm feeling fluish from detoxing, I'm just going to borrow a dog for a long and brisk walk around the lake.

Otherwise my goal is to get my ass into the nearby and excellent gym of which I am a member - DAILY. When I'm there, I run on the treadmill and use the countless weight machines. I kind of got sidetracked since Christmas, so I need to get back into it. It's a surefire tactic for getting into a good mood.

Funny thing: After a workout, which usually gives me with wonderful endorphins and whatnot, a couple of hours later when the endorphine level has dropped, I feel a craving to go straight back to the gym!

It's the wine's fault that I didn't set my alarm and slept till 8:30, so no spin class today.  Went to TRX class instead.  I can tell my core is getting a lot stronger, can hold a pike position for a longer time and am now able to walk backwards on my hands.  It wasn't so long ago that I couldn't even get into a pike.

wish I could run outside :( it is flippin cold out :( I should run today on the treadmill.....I might but I might just walk also depends on how I feel when I get on there. I am back to tracking my food because I feel I have been not been doing so hot with that as of late.
