Did 45 minutes of boxing work and finished with some Deadlifts, Bench Press, and Farmer's Walks.

And with that, I'm taking the weekend off.  My left knee feels a bit tricky and my right lat muscle is very tight.  The ego is not gratified by rest and relaxation, but sometimes that's what you need.

Yes rest up...take me to the movies instead....we can sit on the back row...I can massage your .....knee.... No medals are  givin out  for killing yourself in the gym ...

8-miler @ 1:03:04 (7:53/mile)

Old Man Sarge is making progress.

The goal is 6:50 to 7:05 for the full 26.2

Loooooong way to go.

That's what happens when you sit on the couch for 11 months after your last race not logging a single damned mile.

Mrs. Sarge has been training since Oct. Her first race is the Cincinnati Heart Mini Marathon[1] (15k  (9.3 miles) in just a few weeks.

Sarge is thinking about Bandit-ing[2] the race with her. He's up to the mileage but has no pace he wants on record yet.

[2] Bandit : To bandit a race - to start and run the race without bib-number, without digital tracking chip, without registration. You just show up and run the race. Of course you are ineligible for prizes and whatnot ... but you get to run the course and log your time ... assuming you don't get caught and escorted off the course.

The three-day hiatus did me some good.  Started the day feeling fully rested and barrel chested.  Started my workout with 20 minutes on the rower.  Did some strength work (Power Clean, Bench Press, Four-Direction Lunges, Dips, Farmer's Walk).  Finished up with 3 rounds on the heavy bag and 10 minutes of jumping rope.

Have a strong, healthy week.

Rec...more practice needed !!!!

now Doreen, give Reci some credit!  At least he's not eating on that machine. Last time we saw him, oh lord, I can't even begin. To describe.

Anyway, 45 minutes of kickboxing this morning and about 5 miles of walking throughout the day.  Had a 1hr Chinese massage, manicure, pedicure and eyebrow threading today, did some work in the morning and got everything together to get my taxes done this evening.  A very productive but relaxing and self indulgent day

Did a full boxing workout yesterday and another round of footwork and defensive drills last night.  The weather is so nice here right now, I skipped my strength work this morning and went for a run in the woods.  Planning on doing an abbreviated strength session this evening, probably go total gym-bro and only do upper body exercises.

Truly awesome- you're 62.26% of the way home! Over the hump for sure.

Your shoulder must be much better.  That's great, Boo,. Just lots of walking for me the past two days. Getting in late from work and having a hard time getting up in time to get my workout in. I'm in an adjustment period.  I've gone from a 6-minute walk to work to 45-60 minutes on the subway. I'll get back on track soon!

The right shoulder is good to go and the left is at about 90%.  With a bit of mobility work and foam rolling, my back feels good now.  And, I haven't had any knee pain this week.

The good news is: after years of abusing my body, I'm becoming quite adept at playing through the pain.

This has been a good 2 weeks for weight loss, I am down again, 19.6 lbs to go there is a light at the end of my tunnel. I walked on an incline for 45 then did squats, crunches, and lunge pulses etc....what is everyone else up to?

Did 20 minutes on the rower this morning and strength work (Front Squat, Bent Over Row, Bench Press, Shoulder Press, Kettlebell Swings).  Finished up with some core work (Good Mornings, Roll Outs, Landmine Twists).  Planning on getting in a good run tomorrow.

Have a good weekend folks.
