First week completed.

Eating favorite carrot cake as a reward.

Must come up with non-food dopamine-releasing rewards.

On to the next week, one day at a time.

Eensy pile of unsmoked cigarettes grows.

Congratulations Kate, you're officially done with Hell week! I think carrot cake is a perfect reward for such a hard week :)

Way to go Kate.  It gets easier every day.  You have this quit, now keep it going!  I was amazed at the awe I felt when I quit and got through the first week.

Great work Kate very proud of your efforts.

It ain't easy but it's worth it in the long run. Keep up the great work :)

Now that your sniffer is probably working better, maybe a simple diffuser with a nice scent you like for a reward? There's probably lots of little things that are non-food that would give you a little lift :)

Congratulations, Kate on your first week of Freedom.

Orgasms are a great endorphin release, I must say,

and good exercise too.

Congratulations on 7 days of kicking the butt, literally.

One day, one crave at a time you will beat this addiction. You got this K!!!

G’day

try Tic Tacs, even if you get through a packet a day it’s probably not as much sugar as a carrot cake slice.

2 single tic tacs sucked to nothing consume as much time as a cig. And in that time space a crave has slithered away cause you have ignored it.

Plus you get to have a packet to play with just like your old habit.

Me I like the orange ones and used to love the other fruit ones they bring out from time to time.

Still have a pack at all times in my truck so I get to indulge in my little addiction.

My wife hates them as I was forever leaving them in my pockets, left some pretty funky stains...

Keep up the writing... trust me I still need to be reminded, yes I need to maintain the rage!

Hate cigs cause they are killers.

Love smokers cause I was one...

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
