It was a sad day down under on Saturday when Roger the Ripped Roo passed away at the age of 12. Roger lead a long and happy life in a Roo sanctuary and became world famous for how ripper he was. With past times including bucket crushing and muscle poses Roger was a favourite at home and abroad. Spare a moment today to say Vale Roger... may you have an endless supply of buckets wherever you are now.

I've watched that show before, that's sad. Is 12 a long life for a kangaroo?

In the wild its 8-12 years but in captivity it can be up to 20 years... although the smaller species tend to live longer, the greys.. the big red boys like Roger was don't has as long.

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
