Hi Everyone...nice to see some familiar faces and names on here.

As some of you know, my name is Ron.  I was a smoker for about 17 years and smoking a pack a day for the last 10 of those years.  My last cigarette ever was on December 31st, 2013.  I just didn't enjoy smoking anymore...it no longer tasted good.  I guess because of that, my quit has been easier than most.  I did have a couple of SOS moments in the beginning (one was getting drunk for the first time after quitting), but a lot of people helped me prepare for it and talked me through it....so I'm very grateful for that.  I'm just hoping to maybe to the same and help someone out as much as I can.

As for hobbies, I love playing hockey, baseball, basketball, volleyball...lol.  I love riding and fixing bikes (motorcycles and mountain bikes).  Ohhh, and I love hiking and fly fishing lol.

I am loving the response we are getting. This is fantastic.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
