this is not good information. It is a drug addiction. You are addicted to the drug nicotine and the habit of smoking (gum chewing) to recieve it.

Please continue to read the posts that are pinned to the top of the board; they are full of the correct information that might help you understand drug use and addiction. Smoking is not like having MRSA.

I love seeing all you new members logging on :) Nothing wrong with staying in the shadows if you're more comfortable that way. I lurked for a few weeks before I found that one post that made me want to reply. Now you can't shut me up lol. So hopefully, you too will find that one post, or one member, that clicks with you and you too will reply :)

This is very true and all of us here are blessed to have your quit wisdom and your dedication to helping others. :)

It;s weird because I was just thinking the same thing today when I saw someone had joined and 5 hours before and their last visit was also 5 hours ago so ........ here then .... gone?

Stay with us people. Lots of good info. about quitting and you can also have some fun communicating with others who have the same goal as you - quit smoking and remain that way!

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
