Was in Qld that year and no one to watch the race with.

so it kinda slipped under the radar. But I gave up the smokes that's the important thing. 

It's next year I've promised to be at my Bro's with our old mate Russel and his 65 Chrysler. 

Use to watch the race on our Colour TV in the mid 70s

Price of admission.... your car keys till next day.

my mum would cook all day but no amount of pleading would give back the keys.

Ive got a solution to this problem we just party from the 3rd till the 10th.... That's if you mob can keep up.

gives Joe plenty of time to rustle up some chocolate crackles to go well the fairy bread. Some party snag rolls and Indian love darts with tomatoe sauce. A Xxxx gold to wash it down with with.

Got to be happy with that!

@Cbdave just whipped up a tripple batch of these beauties for ya. The dead horse is in the bowl, hope they meet with your approval.... but I do make a pretty kick arse party snag roll even if I do say so myself.

Here with todays Aussie catering supplies..... especially for @Cbdave and all those still partying hard in his corner of the Lido deck.... 3rd delviery of Xxxx Gold has just arrived so the bevvies aren't gunna run out any time soon.

 

Feeling a bit lazy today so just did you those Indian Love Darts you asked for.... too bad if you didn't want the skin on but I always prefer me little boys with the skin on.... and yes they are DON... cos Don is good.

What's the dip you would serve with these little beauties? Must be something that isn't too overpowering but should have a bit of "tang" or "bite" to it?

There's a lot you could go with but mine would be a mixture of Mayo, Dijon Mustard then a sprinkle of black pepper, salt then a tiny squeeze of either steak sauce or BBQ sauce. Mix well and serve

Um... yeah-nah that would be kinda gross unless you lived in Toorak and were wanky,.... just good old dead horse... tomato sauce... kinda like ketchup but better.... not sure if Chris is a white crow man, a masterfoods man or if he has real class and the only marty sauce worth havin is Rosella.

Well time to finish this party in style... whipped you up a pav... well I popped down to woolies and grabbed a pav and then just dressed it.... Oh and Mrs Cbdave is so frickin right.... NO DOUBLE DIPPING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

So cos if there is one thing I have learnt from the uncles... ya have to have 2 pavs... a fruit one and a pepermint crisp one....

Thanks Jo. Im freaking impressed That was one hell of a Do!

I'm a little bit sunburnt definitly put on weight..... it must to been that pav.

Through it all.... not One bloody cig. AAAnd might I add... not One Thought of them either. Oh yer, still fronted up each morning for my NOPE Pledge but never a thought for a smoke!

It's hard to imagine that I use to have that thought go off in my head 20 plus times a day. And it was off to feed the slave master his nicotine!

I love my freedom.
