14 hours already, just finished Joel Spitzer day one videos and reading materials.

It's going pretty good, I can do it. Just felt the need to post here or speak with someone.

Glad you are feeling good!! You should feel good...14 hours is a right start. We all had to get thru day one to get to where we are today! Just be kind to yourself!

hello blur,

It is heartening to hear you are educating yourself about nicotine addiction,

this is an essential and potent ingredient in a successful quit.

Pleas be kind to yourself like @c9jane29 recommends.

Your body is going through monumental changes and needs care and feeding.

Congratulations !  You quit smoking !

18 hours smoke free is great blur :) Be careful about being around smokers in these early days. I stayed close to home for the first month or two and only ventured out when I had to or my non smoking hubby could go with me because I didn't trust myself not to buy a pack.

Good job Blur, you are doing good -- remember deep breathing and cold water (to drink), it all helps.  And keep doing what you are doing -- come here often to post, it really helps!

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
