Hello I'm Evelyn

Recommended Posts

I relapsed today and going to smoke my last today. There's a bunch a trouble why I relapsed, mourning my mom one of them - hiding in smoking - so if I could make special topic in the protected forum for this that would be amazing.

I am 31. Lost both my parents of lung cancer. Yes I know 'and you still smoke?' Because fear got me trapped. I am completely honest about this.

I am disabled and follow therapy every week for my DID/MPD (yup as crazy as a nutshell :P )

And I realize I really want to quit smoking for good.

Hi Evelyn, so glad you have joined us. I relapsed a couple of weeks ago,  I came back and everyone was fantastic and helped me again ! I'm now on day 8 and feel really good and dare I say it quietly confident  :)

I'm not an expert on this but if the patches were working for you why did you stop using them ? some of us use nrt, some use food, some use exercise, whatever works for you ... that's all that matters in the early days.

You could start the April quit train  :)

I realised whenever I use the patches I relapse. Time to trust the Lord in this that he setting me free. A step of faith. Tried it myself now I knock on Heavens door ;)

I smoked my last one half hour ago, showered and intend to keep my quit

Good attitude, no matter what Nope for the rest of today.

Trust in yourself as you really can do this you know, even though past failed attempts tempt you to think you can't, you can....seriously.

Hi Evelyn

Good to see you here. Sorry you chose to smoke.

Really happy that you have chosen to quit.

If trusting in the Lord is the way for you - then fantastic. Go for it.

I am not He - but I suspect he would say - "Go for it. I have given you the power to choose. Choose."

Keep the Quit!

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
