Hello everyone!  I'm a late-arriving migrant from QSMB where I earned my quit and was a long time poster.

Having lived with a dead link to the old board for an embarrassing amount of time I finally decided to do some googling and found you here. I'll plan to drop by every once in a while. It's great to be here.

Best,

Jim

Shake, Rattle and Roll  (Charles Calhoun)

Get outta that bed, wash your face and hands
Get outta that bed, wash your face and hands
Well, you get in that kitchen, make some noise with the pots 'n pans

Way you wear those dresses, the sun comes shinin' through
Way you wear those dresses, the sun comes shinin' through
I can't believe my eyes, all that mess belongs to you

I believe to my soul you're the devil and now I know
I believe to my soul you're the devil and now I know
Well, the more I work, the faster my money goes

I said shake, rattle and roll, shake, rattle and roll
Shake, rattle and roll, shake, rattle and roll
Well, you won't do right to save your doggone soul

I'm like a one-eyed cat peepin' in a seafood store
I'm like a one-eyed cat peepin' in a seafood store

Well, I can look at you till you ain't no child no more

Ah, shake, rattle and roll, shake, rattle and roll
Shake, rattle and roll, shake, rattle and roll
Well, you won't do right to save your doggone soul

I get over the hill and way down underneath
I get over the hill and way down underneath
You make me roll my eyes, even make me grit my teeth

I said shake, rattle and roll, shake, rattle and roll
Shake, rattle and roll, shake, rattle and roll
Well, you won't do nothin' to save your doggone soul

Hi S!

Thanks for the welcome and the quit feels great! The old demon is still looking over my shoulder but he goes away every time I tell him to.

Thanks also for the hilarious reference to my kitty moniker. Interestingly enough, 'JWG' (John) on QSMB gave me a hard time about it many years ago.

Best,

Jim

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
