I know how incredibly proud you are of your quit as you should be but I am sure today you will be shouting it from the rooftops for all to hear as you celebrate your first year as a wonderful smoke free quiter. That's right 12 months ago you quit. You are now officially an Lido Deck dwelling Old Pharte. So once you finish partying let us know how you celebrated and just what you did to spoil yourself.

Big congratulations on your first year justanotherone. Your early posts seem like they were only yesterday to me, but they weren't. Very well done.

Good morning! :)

Seems like it was last week I was so afraid of living without my nicotine crutch. Sometimes I remember how heavily I used to smoke and how I used to believe that was "a part of me" or something... It sounds somewhat silly now, TBH. I can't believe I used to think smelling weird and coughing fits were "just who I was"!

It wasn't easy but it wasn't half as awful as I thought it would be. And all the money I used to (literally) burn is now becoming delicious food, great books and fun video games, so I can't see any reason to light a cig ever again.

And thank you. Everyone I met during this journey is an inspiration. This community gave me hope and knowledge, and those things kept me going during the worst part of recovery.

You guys are great. Really.

Now let me go back to work before I get too emotional LOL

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
