Why today can I smell smoke, its as though someone is smoking beside me, my son isn't home he has been at friends since Thursday night, no-body in this area smokes, I'm pretty tired as I havent been sleeping all that well for the last 4 nights, could it be my brain that is chucking out long past memories of smoking smells? Its actually giving me a nicotine headache, remember those, when you had smoked far too many cigarettes and you had that dull hangover type of headache.  Think I shall go for a nice relaxing bath, with nice smelly bubble bath and see if that takes the stink away xx

oh I dunno but that sounds rubbish :(  Did you smoke (or anyone) in the house as maybe it's 3rd hand smoke from something you can attack with febreeze? x

It could actually be smoke that you are smelling. My nose has become super sensitive, especially to smoke, I can smell a smoker from accross the street. Maybe our former nicotine usuage taught the brain to pick up on our drugs whereabouts? Who knows what the reason is, but I'm like a bloodhound lol. I'm glad though that it repulses me rather than attracts me. I don't know how much of that repulsion is trained rejection as opposed to natural rejection.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
