Soliman Islands  0-0-1 =1

Is this even really a place? If so, how do they get a separate designation in these games? Can't be more than a half dozen people living there .... right?

@reciprocity Let's try for the spelling correction..

Solomon Islands..population 575,504... Discovered by old captain cook....so if they were per capita corrected against Australia, using the Brownlow point system, they would have 34 points.

They are tropical.

No slip they're not... I had enough trouble adding and multiplying last night... But you do realise that England become the cellar dwellers if I apply a per capita adjustment and then I feel sad for the poorer countries and wonder if I should apply a CPI filter and then I thing of other tangibles and my eyes start spinning, smoke comes out my ears and my head explodes... Would you like that? Lol.. Not really, I'm just a slack arse.

I kind of like the idea given your system that Norfolk Islands may just be the biggest sporting superpower in the world!

Oh they are, followed closely by Bermuda.... Hey it took great thought to devise a medal calculation system to give Australia the best chance if being on top...didn't realise they'd actually go so well... But I don't see Jill, the wees or reci complaining.

@jillar, love that you've pulled out the Kiwi flag and you're embracing your commonwealth nation. Are you working on the accent now or do you need Jo to post another video first?

Is this a good time to mention that to make up for the poor showing of England, I am actually a quarter Norfolk Islandish on my mother's paternal grandfather's side twice removed?

No good news for Reci... his country is going ok using the Brownlow point system... see page 1, post 1 for update.... BUT population corrections are shafting the Canucks.... they're used to that though aren't they????

I don't remember getting to pick out of 37 countries. I would have picked isle of man because I believe there should be a place we can send our men lol

Worth noting....

1. With only 3 days of comps left is there any realistic chance that England can do a Bradbury and beat the Aussies????

2. The real race seems to be for 4th and 5th between NZ and Scotland, although India is nipping at their heals. Our girls ( @Wee fluffy me , @WeegieWoman & Jillar) seem to be the race to watch. Which nation will secure the victory between the two giant minnows.... will we be hearing Flower of Scotland or will we have to belt out God Defend New Zealand???? At this point in time, NZ has just slipped into the lead past the Scotts.... but this could change with a single medal.

3. So seing as England has just over double the population of Australia and the Aussies have won just over double the points of the Poms... does that mean we are twice as good as they are?

norfolk Island with a population of 2,169... Has killed everyone when you apply both the Brownlow Method and population density factoring.... For each 1point earned by Australia (who's pop is aprox 2/3 or Canada's) they have earned 11,065 points....

Dont worry Reci, your beating India and Singapore and Malta...feel better now?
