My good old friend crow

Stamped on my beautiful face

Crows feet are not nice

My kid once said that

You can pick good growed ups

They have the smile lines

not one Jazz Fest guest,

no legendary gumbo,

stove, cold and forlorn.

What about the crow ?

Cawing loud when I go out,

followed me for blocks.

Waiting for their food

yesterday, nice guests,

rhythm section of the band,

legend is intact.

lunching in courtyard

brioche from handsome baker,

andouille,  cheeses !

Moon kept me awake,

watered garden, 4am

tree frog's chirpy chirp

Oh! More on the Crows !

Crow escort, two or three blocks,

call, 'where ya going ?'

Everytime I leave

same crows, crowing out to me,

'when will you be back ? '

Gusty Kansas winds

blow and blow and blow some more

my hair is a mess

But warmth and rain rise

from long April's cold and drear

I'm outside again

And being outside

I breathe clean and I breathe clear

and find smoke-free joy

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
