Smoking is all about personal choices and you are making the right one now for yourself :) Keep making that choice every day and pretty soon, as Sazerac said, that desire to smoke will fade to oblivion and you will know then that anything is possible for you.

Sorry for the tough time you're going through fab. I remember those days too well and they sucked. Just know you are not alone and each time you power through you get stronger and the craves get weaker. Until one day they become just passing thoughts.

You're doing great so be super proud of yourself :)

Addicts don't want to smoke. They want relief from the symptoms of not having nicotine. It's the lie of addiction saying "I want to smoke". It helped me a lot to reframe what I was feeling and understand that the only way to be free of these feelings forever is to never take another puff. Otherwise it is just back on the repetition of withdrawal symptoms day in and day out that all smokers go through when they havent had their fix soon enough.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
