  1. Still hanging in there!
  2. Thanks guys, I really do want this its just so hard to keep hanging on sometimes. This is the longest I've ever gone without smoking so I really don't want to lose this. I know it will get better one day but I guess I do have to get used to this new life one day at a time. LOL
  3. Hi guys, I haven't been on here for a few days, things have gotten hectic but I am finding that the more I try to concentrate on things the more I need a cigarette. I have seriously considered buying cigarettes for the past two days now and I just get so mad at myself for thinking that, but then my throat actually starts to burn for the sensation of smoking again and I actually start feeling the physical withdrawals again. Its almost been two weeks and I thought it shouldn't be physical anymore. This is the longest I've ever gone without smoking and sometimes I'm proud of that but if I focus on anything else, it seems like I'm about to lose the fight. When will this ever get better?

  10. Thank you guys! I can tell you are such a sweet and caring group of people! Thank you so much for your words of wisdom and I am beginning to feel much better. That last night of hell week was excruciating! but I see new hope now! :)
  11. NOPE!
  12. Both of my parents smoked, but my mom eventually quit several years ago.
  13. I know what you mean! I used to suck my thumb as well as smoking pens as if they were cigarettes, even holding them the same way, inhaling, and blowing the non-existent smoke out. LOL During hell week we have to do whatever we can to hold on. Michelle
  14. Both of my parents smoked as well, but my mother quit several years ago. Michelle
  15. Thanks guys! I am so glad that I found a place that I could come to for support. I really think that maybe this time I can do it, but there is just so much about quitting that I really didn't know. I have read Allen Carr's book and was psyched, but then the withdrawals started to hurt too bad. I believe that this is the time I'm really going to have to make this happen. Michelle

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
