  1. Today I'm clean and serene from nicotine! Just busy at work, but will be checking in at lunchtime....
  2. I will not smoke today
  3. I did not smoke today! A W E S O M E. So far I am thinking Allen Carr should stick to helping people quit smoking and not get involved where he has no experience..... I am trying to be open minded though. On another note..... I am unable to vent properly as I feel like I should not be swearing or cursing online where the public might read it. I am told there is a place around here where I can vent properly, but I need a password....
  4. I ran 6 k's this morning and it was awesome!
  5. I am going to write stuff down, the same way I did when I quit the other stuff.... being online often isnt an option for me. But I will keep coming back when I can to check and post.
  6. I really hope that I do not smoke today. I had 1 yesterday and it did not feel good. So I started to do something symbolic to end my smoking relapse. I decided its time to clean out the ashtray in my car, it has been dirty since I quit in January. And then I purposely searched the property where I live and picked up and threw away all my old stinky cigarette butts. I then searched the house, found and threw away all the lighters and matches. Actually I made a fire and burned them all, it was more fun..... I still feel lucky in some way that I have not been smoking full time again and physically I do not have to endure hectic withdrawals, so I am looking forward to and hoping to enjoy this quit. I bought The Only Way book yesterday and have begun reading it too, damn long book...... but have at least begun relating to Allen Carr from the start. Recovery from smoking will be much easier if I have people to identify with. Being able to identify with people has really helped me stay off heroin and crack for just over 6 years, the difficult part there is everytime I am at NA people are smoking and thats a trigger for me, thing is I absolutely can not stop going to NA as I am very involved there and need meetings to stay clean. Sso there you have it, I am Rowland, I am an addict (in more ways than one), and I want to quit smoking for good.
  7. Ok, heres my update. I was feeling angry when i smoked every time.... I know the dangers of smoking, scare tactics dont work bakon. It didnt help me stop when I was holding my mothers hand when she took her last breath (she died from cancer), she had cancer from smoking. And scare tactics are not going to work now..... Thanks for all the posts, I have just put out the last cigarette.
  8. The update is nova good one. The reason I haven't posted is because I have been smoking occasionally. I don't know what to do. I don't know how to stay stopped.
  9. Its a sunny Saturday morning in Southern Africa, 07h27, and I have just done a 5 km run. Feeling good because no matter what! I will not smoke today!

  12. I know exactly how you feel. I have posted my nope and plan on sticking to it! Yesterday I literally had to say to myself " I will not smoke till 15:45" and then " I will not smoke till 16h10" and I was really only doing it for a few minutes at a time and it helped!
  13. Damn this addiction! Today I will not smoke! Even if its 5 minutes at a time.

  20. Feels kind of weird and like I am talking all to myself here..... but anyway....... Today was a really shitty day and I did feel like smoking around lunchtime but resisted the craving and left the dangerous area that caused the cravings. At lest I am not feeling as sick as yesterday, so I am hoping to go for a run after work tomorrow. Will see.....
  21. Thank you everyone for replying and not getting angry with me for messing up! The support you are giving me is awesome! Thank you again.
