  1. gotcha...when I can, will just :lazy: and then :lazy: and :lazy:
  2. And that's how St. Pat's Day week is done in Philadelphia and thereabouts...
  3. Atmosphere was fresh and clean in winter...a nice time to quit... noticed many smokers today...couldn't avoid them...at and near entrances to places: stores, restaurants, parking garages, parking lots young people in my neighborhood smoke while riding bikes and skateboards...everywhere... my lungs don't feel good...today...so... :lazy:
  4. In my neighborhood...a lot of dudes skateboard while smoking...tobacco and other...
  5. Spring is here, for better and for worse.
  6. Stop writing messages in French, and use American english, palez..I can barely think straight now as it is what does this message mean i don't live on a farm am a townie
  7. Today followed Ava's advice and thought "I am now a nonsmoker" instead of thinking about the time I am adding up since I've quit, and it really helped. It brought mental relief. Dudes can made time fly by or make time crawl...depends, doesn't it? Read other threads in pinned sections...others said sleep, clean, exercise, keep busy. Counting the days, weeks, months...can be a torture...like watching the clock at work. All good advice here but Ava gets star for the best advice for me today. Thanks, all.
  8. As usual, it's the Waiting Game. :lazy:
  9. Bigger boobs okay, I can use them to push my way through crowds and stuff...but fat thighs...well, we know they are just unsightly and dysfunctional, eh? With you there...all the way.
  10. Thank you, Chrysalis. That's sweet.
  11. It felt like it took months to get from 4 weeks to 6 weeks.
  12. Should be required viewing for all in first weeks of nonsmoking.
  13. I appreciate Jenny's input. If you start over-eating soon after the quit it's like you are almost putting designs on a relapse, if weight is an issue. Also, eating poorly makes a person feel crappy...bloated, tired etc. Everyone laughed because I sucked on a pacifier for a week...but I didn't want to start the habit of eating a lot of sugar, candy etc. Being early into my quit ~~~ I feel crappy a lot! Truthfully, getting more quality sleep is what would help me. I go to sleep fine but sometimes wake up 2 or 3 times. When I exercise moderately I sleep better. Easy-peasy. Sort of!
  14. buddha just a mindset, not a person...maybe bakon is the same haha maybe you read wrong? MUST-urbating I try to avoid, everything else fine (see Albert Ellis, REBT, he coined the word...) I've started to lay off the huge plates of pasta... wish someone would think my love handles all squeezy and cute like play dough ~~~ Jackie, you're one lucky lady! :)

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
