  1. Congrats Christa! 10 months WOW. You are great. :)
  2. Hi Ladybug & Marti, Happy Smoke free Easter to you as well. I am doing good with the support of the forum. Today is day 10 I am very happy. Saturday have 50th birthday party to go to this will be a true test lots of smokers there my plan is not to smoke no matter what. Easter will be easy dinner with family 1 hour north - no smokers there. I will make it through the weekend and Monday will be day 13. I am not sure when I will stop counting my days it kind of helps to know that in a few days it will be 2 weeks smoke free. Everyday I am breathing so much better. I still have the morning smokers cough but in time this should also go away. No more coughing during the day. I know I have said it before but I have to say it again. I am so happy to be on board the quit train. Everyone is very nice, some unique, and all very supportive. The quit train has changed my life- I am a non smoker. THANK YOU! Love you all :)
  3. Hi Carly, That is great 8 months - congratulations!
  4. Nope for me again for today. Happy Friday
  5. Hi Melody, I am style challenged as well- I have none. However if the other girls are wearing short dresses since you are the bridesmaid I would go with long this way it distinguishes the bridesmaid. Then again it is going to be vey hot so you may want a short dress. See I am no help! Good luck with your dress hunt.

    1 week and 2 days

Today is day 9- and I am a non smoker! The funny thing is my brain has 2 parts the good part and the bad part. The good part says I quit smoking- I do not want to smoke again. The bad part says I want a cigarette. Smoking was always a part of me. I never went anywhere without it. I smoked in the house which was not so good for my honey but I did it anyway because I was selfish and did not want to suffer and be without my cigarette. So for me smoking was normal I have never been without it. Now I have to learn how to undo a life time of normal and figure out what the new normal is. If this makes any sense. I am sure this will all come with time and it is certainly flying by. I am happy today I do not smoke. This is the best thing that I have done for myself ever. :D
  7. Wow ladybug that is scary- specially since your husband is out of time. I am happy you have your protectors I am sure they would give plenty of advance warning if anything were to happen. At least since the Sherriff stopped by you know and can be on alert for anything strange. Stay Safe my friend. Shoot first and ask questions later.
  8. Hi Nancy, I missed this last night- had already turned off the computer. I love this it is so true. Thanks for posting. :)

    Mini SOS...

Bon fire - roasted marshmallows :) We have 1 spare bedroom with 2 twin beds, 1 queen air mattress and 2 camping cots. If we have winter overnight company it is like walking through a maze. In the living room the futon gets opened, the air mattress gets blown up, and the 2 cots end up somewhere in between the living room and the kitchen. We have a dog as well so there is no sleeping in late unless you are the lucky ones in the spare bedroom. I am not sure why but people still come. Being crowded must be fun.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
