  1. So this day one of my plan to finally quit smoking :) It has been way too long since I tried
  2. Well right now the nicotine is 6 mg seems to work fine- after I run out I am moving down to 3 once the 3 is gone I believe I will still Vap however the plan is zero nicotine. So yes the habit of holding the cigarette and smoking it is very similar but I do believe the damages will be way less and it seems to be an easy transition
  3. So- I went last night after work and picked up my Aspire Premium Vaping kit - I like it and I think it will work.
  4. So I will keep you updated on my progress something has to help- obviously I have a very addictive behavior and can not just quit cold turkey..
  5. Okay- so it has been a long time for me- I have not quit nor picked a quit date. I did make a choice however to get an electronic cigarette- I know it is still nicotine but I am hoping if I can wean myself off the cigarettes with the electronic cigarette that eventually I can do without either. I am going this Thursday after work my god daughter is going to meet me since she is an expert on the electronic cigarette. Wish me luck!

  14. So I have made a decision- I am going to try Chantix again- the first time I tried it was over 4 years ago and my job was an hour away from home so I would leave at 7:30 AM and get home between 6:30 and 7:00 PM I was very tired and taking the Chantix I was exhausted. I see that people here have quit with this and I need help so off to the doctors I will go. This time I will actually give it a chance - the last time I did not even continue with it for 1 week. I will let you know when I have my prescription.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
