  7. Oh Amy, you are not alone. I honestly figured I was destined for failure because "I didn't want to quit more than I wanted to smoke" What I really wanted was to continue to smoke without any consequences. Not logical or rational of me. Reading the newbie package stuff, everyday, helped. A quit journal helped. Talking it out here helped. Educating myself about the benefits of quitting and the dangers of continuing, helped. Everyday. I still do those things. ((Hugs)))
  8. Pictures when you get your new head'o'hair please. Thank goodness, for everyone's sake...I'm back to work next Tuesday! I got a kazillion calorie treat today! A giant Rocky Mountain chocolate company chocolate/caramel/almond covered apple. I don't give a rats @ss if none of my dress pants fit me. My 16yr old says "big booties are in" :)

  15. The "Fukitol" feeling is my most personal dangerous place to be........when I throw my hands up and just dont give a $hit anymore. But it passes. It always does. ALWAYS. A cigarette doesnt speed up or slow down the process. It just ruins a quit. Dont do it Rach. Let this feeling pass. Just ride it out. Go to your car and scream if you have to.
  16. Awww Rach........do I need to come there and dip some toothbrushes girlfriend? :p
  17. BBQ sausage on a bun with saurkraut and/or sauteed red bell peppers. Pasta salad apple turnovers for dessert :)

  19. Lol. I don't think so. It had something to do with driving around town looking for smokers, huddled in the cold, rolling his window down and...... Hmmm.....Comrade....did you yell things at them?
  20. :) So glad you are still with us.
  21. Lol Lil'bug. :) Ask Comrade what he did in his first week of his quit......his form of 'advertising' that he was not a smoker anymore? ROTFLMAO
  22. Lovely Lil'bug :) This one should be bumped periodically for brand new folks.
  23. So glad your fur-buddy is on the mend xoxoxo
  24. 4 Bakon. You're as bad as Jenny. You can't count.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
