  1. I watched an episode of diners, dives and drive ins last night with Kid Rock on it with whats his name(dont know the hosts name never watch the show) it was on at work
  2. try to see it as a lifestyle change and not a diet I think that mindset would help make it sustainable although we all eat a "diet" of some sort good or bad.......give yourself a cheat day now that does not mean go crazy and eat everything in sight day but allow certain foods on that day in moderation of course that you dont normally allow that way you wont feel that you are missing anything....remember portion control Maybe this pic will help I dont know just throwing it out there.....more veggies and lean meats less junk try veggies for snacks instead of chips......there are recipes online that you can find and try dont be afraid to try new things you might like them. Dont think that you cant have certain foods because in moderation it is ok and tracking your food and calories for awhile would be a good idea so you can teach yourself about your eating habits and adjust accordingly.......I hope this helps. remember just because you might slip a little or eat something you might feel guilty about let it go and move forward keep going you quit smoking you can lose weight :)
  3. sarge is right infections are biological and caused by viruses and bacteria, smoking does make one worse especially if it is in the lungs which is why it is a good thing you do not smoke imagine how you would feel if you did smoke? Hope you feel better soon......IMO the doctor is a jerk why say that? quitting smoking is beneficial never a negative.......sometimes I wonder about the bedside manner of some Drs.....not that they should sugarcoat everything but seriously accentuate the positive a little. Yes sometimes there is irreversible damage done but not always and your body can heal up a bit when you quit.......

    worry? who worries oh yeah me.......Hi my name is frez and I am a worrier!!! sometimes it takes a while to shut my mind the hell up about this or that when I am trying to sleep sigh......

I agree with Colleen losing weight does start in the kitchen and I have heard the 80% diet 20% exercise thing........exercise helps with a multitude of things such as toning, building your metabolism and bones health but we also have to be honest with ourselves on how we eat if keeping a food journal helps that is what I did it opened my eyes to what I was eating and how much to me moderation is the key.......some things needed to be eliminated like pop/soda but there are some things that I just lessened the amount that I eat and that worked for me.....you just have to find something that works for you and can be be done as a lifestyle change that can be sustainable for life.

  11. I did 45 minutes on the adaptive motion machine then 20 minutes of strength on the nautilus machines at works gym....plus squats of course

  13. way to go quitting and staying quit and an heart attack isnt an immediate death sentence as long as you take steps towards improving your health such as you did with quitting cigarettes

  16. I am glad you are back.......remember to breathe deep, meditating works, long baths, exercise, whatever distracts you oh yeah lots of water.....you can do this there is no "hope" you can it is YOU CAN do this :) we got your back

    just because it came back abnormal does not necessary mean it is cancer that is why they are going to do a biopsy to see what if anything it is. Try not to think too much into it if possible I know easier said than done......Hugs hun
