  1. So I am trying a garden this year (I might be overzealous as I look at the area my hubs rototilled) I have already planted 3 rows of corn, over the next few days I will be planting carrots, onions, radishes, tomatoes, green peppers, watermelon, pumpkins and peas. I also bought a blueberry bush trying to figure out where to put that one though.....hopefully I will get something out of this work sigh if nothing happens I will never plant again just saying....
  2. did squats, lunges and other weight exercises, then I ran 6.4 miles feels awesome now I have to start contemplating my garden now that the weather is better and the fear of frost is lower
  3. for a while I was having to stop within the 1st mile a couple of times to slow and walk for a few seconds to catch my breathe but lately I think I might of found my rhythm not having to stop until mile 3 when I run outside (usually at that time to go pee lol) then continue back to my house another 3 miles
  4. Ran 3.5 miles no stopping :)
  5. yes that is the way you do it!!!! so happy for you!!!! :) congrats on your 2 weeks!!!!
  6. And I had thought as others bought cigarettes whilst waiting in line I thought "Man I am happy I do not have to waste my money on cigarettes (my brand is at 7 dollars/pack)" I have much better things to "waste" my money on like the fishing licenses we were buying or well the vacation to yellowstone that we will be taking in a month or so.......I like the side benefit of repurposing the money to other things like vaca or fun stuff or even for needed unexpected things.........not to mention breathing, running, not coughing, not worrying about running out, the list goes on and on......so all those on the fence or just thinking about it......quit now it is soooo worth the minimum discomfort ...jump in the waters is just fine :)
  7. ran 6.4 miles outside today :).....I really do believe that the AMT that I use at work is helping with my endurance in running outside without stopping it feels amazing that at 44 after years of abuse my body took from being obese and smoking that I am able to run (first time running ever was in jan 2013)keep moving forward :) one step at a time .....think of what I could do if I never smoked
  8. welcome!!!! :)

  18. I think I have add because my attention span is minimal I am very easily distracted (ooh a rabbit) no seriously that is why I like running outside because of the changing scenery and the longest I have run is 7 miles(only outside) so far I cannot run more than 4 miles on the treadmill (Boredom) before wanting to poke my eyes out with a fork I listen to my music which tends to lean toward harder rock or alternative

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
