  1. Wonderful
  2. It's intense. Dig. At first you have to dig. Then you deflect the twinges and triggers. Then you sly smile and nod cuz you know you made it. One phase at at time. You have the right mindset. I can tell.

  4. Fantastic!! These two weeks were the hardest ones you'll face and you did it! Be proud. Go reward yourself. And take a deep(er) breath :).

  6. Maybe you'd consider coming in here every morning for the next two weeks and post your NOPE promise. Sometimes we need a way to fill the voids and popping on here helps.
  7. Awesome! Sneaking up on 6 months??

  9. Yes, it's normal for some of us during those first few days. But trust me, it will ease up. Addicts coming off a drug is never pretty, but so so worth it. Keep doing all those self-care things you're doing, keep in the forethought of your mind that you'd rather have the freedoms granted a non-smoker....just stay with your desire to quit for those initial days. We've allllllllll been through it. Some of us have a weaker constitution than you, but we made it. Minute by minute, just commit to your commitment to quit. NO OPTION. And stay close to this board. People will help you.

  15. Hi DD!! So glad you checked in. Will you be posting costume photos this year? Good luck with school; tough program but worth it in the end.

  20. Breaks are good for the soul. Take care, come back when you're ready but do come back (no one can fill your shoes!).

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
