  11. Yes. I agree that it's important to remember the disgust. Grinding it in helped with my quit anyway. I kept that barely smoked cig in a baggie on my front deck just in case I ever forgot. Just one look and I could feel the burn in my chest, a repulsive reminder of my rock bottom moment. You've got this. I know it like I knew with my own. Congrats on your 24. A really big deal.

  14. Got a kick out of this. No rules. I quit at 1:47 PM on my "quit day". Ash Wednesday is a nice sounding date to snuff out the last one (no offense intended).
  15. Good deal. Stay here.

  18. Such an inspiration and example of how to make it happen. Congrats Doreen! You are wonderful.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
