  2. Now julie - there ya go again with the "who, me"? angelic roll eyes stuff, bwahahaha! Action - check pm's
  3. Here's another couple of pounds of tobacco since the last bonfire I showed up at. *Whoosh*
  4. Woo Hoo! :yahoo:
  5. Nice to reach a new milestone eh? Good for you!
  6. No! Not 101! Do it to Julia!!! Has been a long time since the quit, hasn't it? It doesn't feel as weird not to be a smoker these days as it did a month ago.
  7. Five gallons of vomit pours out. I insert a couple dozen cigarette butts that were on the floor around the coke machine...
  8. Ev can quit and then smoke, quit again and smoke again, quit over and over and smoke over and over and it won't change a damn thing about my quit. Serial relapses don't make smoking attractive to me so whatever ya wanna do Ev fine by me. Put me down as "indifferent".
  9. I'm glad you're here. Congrats!
  10. You get a Korean War era Army cot. I insert an old 10 billion dollar Zimbabwe note...
  11. A paperback copy of The Joy of Sex pops out. I insert a box of day old live chicks
  12. Sitting on the stump staring at the garden without a couple of cigarettes is a lot different than with a couple. I just don't sit as long. I hurt worse at the end of the day from working harder. That's what sucks about not smoking in my world today. Sometimes I miss shooting narcotics and staring at my shoes for hours, too. Jail and degradation suck. So do heart attacks. Did I mention I'm developing a spare tire for the first time in my life? Sunshine, lollipops and... acid bombs, molotov cocktails, maybe just a bit o' clockwork orange "singing in the rain"? I don't smoke today. Good, bad, or indifferent.
  13. "Free at last, free at last! Thank god almighty I'm free at last!" Haul ass and don't look back man!
  14. I got zepplin's Immigrant Song in there. Thanks, I think I'll keep it there for awhile. I insert Bush's (the shrub) third SOTU address
  15. You get a matter/anti-mater annihilation. I call the vending agent and have another one delivered, and stuff a roll of braunschweiger in it.
  16. Oh, do tell about the relatives and case workers assigned to these people Julie, bwahahaha.
  17. Dealing with all the first world asshats.
  18. I was 48 hours quit when I picked up "the book". Man, I can't tell you how many times I thought gee I should smoke until I'm done with the book. I bet thousands of people have started smoking during the read... and more than likely a bunch never went through the quit because of it. No one's perfect - Alan Carr's Idiot Point was his "Don't quit until you read this book" screw up. Two days into nicotine withdrawal and that sounds like sage advice, heh heh.
  19. If it's true, go for it.
  20. All day today was a come and go low level wanting to just sit and smoke. I knew it was normal season change impulses - I have spent the last ten years planting a row and then having a spell on the smoking stump, weeding a row... smoking stump, general garden chore... smoking stump. So I just dealt with it by getting a coffee or water or feeding a critter - anything but sitting on the stump playing with the monkey. I'm tired. Hurt kinda tired. Too old to work sun up to sundown without setting awhile. I figure I gotta practice sitting down doing absolutely nothing and let the trigger dissolve of its own accord. Why I'm not smoking right now is because I didn't forget that "one is all".
  21. My first words were "Power to the Peoples, man. Power to the Peoples!" The R's and L's came out sorta like W's but there was no mistaking the Black Panther power salute.
  22. Unfortunately too often it's the same phenomenon as those who found jesus in jail have just before sentencing, bwahahaha! I don't think it's a bad idea to have a certain amount of respect for something that can kill me.
  23. Again... there's that statute of limitations thing... I hate okra.
  24. Julie hassled me so I dug up the 3 monther

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
