  1. No, but The Sarge has been through this discussion a dozen times in the past 3 years where folks see fit tell him exactly what he does and does not like (all of my what) and sees no point in having it again. He liked / enjoyed smoking. He gave you two reasons (taste, smell) and that is enough to back up the statement regarding Sarge's enjoyment of the cigarette. It is quite possible to both enjoy it, and know that it is bad for you. They are not a mutually exclusive state of affairs (see Da Pizza Pie above) Easy Peasy
  2. Not really ... Easy Peasy
  3. Exactly! But due to The Sarge's dietary restrictions, he has to burn a CheaterDay™ on pizza and only getza da pizza pie about one every other month. Used to be 3 or 4 a week. now it's about 4 a year. Easy Peasy
  4. For one - the taste. The Sarge still quite enjoys the smell - especially those flavored (cherry pipe tobacco) versions. Dried tobacco leaves still smell just as good to The Sarge as he imagines fresh ground coffee beans appeal to you, O Great Connoisuer Of The Coffee. Easy Peasy
  5. Wait - what? You can do that? Just one? Where do you live? They only sell packs of 20 where The Sarge lives. Easy Peasy
  6. Contrary to popular belief 'round these forums, some of us actually did enjoy 'em - The Sarge being a prime example thereof. He does, however subscribe to the "They do nothing good for you" theory, but that doesn't mean he didn't enjoy them. He likes a Double Pepperoni Triple Meat Bacon Topper With Extra Cheese and Extra Grease in exactly the same way and it ain't no good for him neither. They are not mutually exclusive. You can actually like something that does nothing good for you. Easy Peasy
  7. That's a problem? Just keep goin' 'til empty. No problem. Easy Peasy
  8. Partial danglers allowed? :P Easy Peasy
  9. Is it theoretically possible for there to exist two woodchucks who, provided they could each chuck wood, would chuck wood in different quantities?

  10. Whiskey Party FTW! Easy Peasy
  11. The Sarge doesn't feel the need to "cheer up". Both the highs AND the lows in life need to be fully experienced. Easy Peasy
  12. Sigh ... but there is. There is. It's called the "Do No Smoke" method. It's the *only* method that works and here's the kicker: it's GUARANTEED to work every time. Every. Time. Easy Peasy
  13. LOL "Real Addicts" As if your addiction is somehow ... special. Easy Peasy
  14. The Sarge started climbing about the same time he quit so ... No. No saved money - but a metric crap-ton of climbing gear and plane tickets to climbing locations were bought and paid for with money that would have gone to Phillip Morris. Running shoes and races really rack up the $$$, too. $6000 ! Richy Rich
  15. The worm has yet to turn for you ... But it will. It will. Easy Peasy
  16. The Sarge chuckles to himself ... Easy Peasy
  17. When The Sarge is out in the backwoods, or mountains and canyons - if he wants to get connected just drive to the nearest town and look for the Golden Arches. Haven't found one yet that didn't have it. It's probably mandated by Corporate McOpCo that they provide it. They are everywhere. Everywhere. Easy Peasy
  18. Wifi everywhere. Pull into a McDonald's parking lot? Free wireless. Campgrounds? Wireless (free or not, depending). Hotel/motel parking lot? Free wireless with a room. Wireless access point to any device you'd like to connect inside your RV. Easy Peasy

Unlike baseball Unlike baseball, there IS crying in quitting. Easy Peasy
  20. "You can´t get rid of me ..." Guest_Suerose_* Yesterday, 10:44 AM " ... can't ..." ? Easy Peasy
  21. It's 4 years since that photo album and, nope, she still won't ride. She'll do off-road in anything on 2, 3, or 4 wheels but won't do 2 wheels on actual roads with traffic. She's not afraid of the bike, she's afraid of the other traffic. Bummer that. Easy Peasy
  22. Easy Peasy
  23. These are The Sarge's Babies (Click Me)... Easy Peasy
  24. It Has Come To The Sarge's Attention ... ... via the Status Updates that there are <gasp> : Folks out there in the world who do not know what a "Cheese Steak" is. The Sarge is Sad. Sad because he can no longer enjoy [1] Heaven On Earth and sad because there are folks who are unawares of such tasty pleasure. Here. Enjoy: FOOTNOTES: [1] Doctor's orders - healthy diet and all that

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
