  1. The Sarge hasn't run in a week. There were two skipped runs last week that miles need made up on. A 10k and a 5k (9.3 miles, total, missed) As such, tonight's 10k will insted be a 10-miler, making up 3.8 of the missed miles. Easy Peasy
  2. Sounds like a good reason to smoke [1] Lotsa folks are gonna have to move in the next century or two. No - really - something like half the world's populations live within 100 miles of ocean coast lines. [2] Easy Peasy FOOTNOTES: [1] Not Really. [2] The Sarge is safe. The SargeStead sits on a plot of land that is at 859 feet of elevation. See levels would have to rise 200 meters higher than present for Sarge and family to have to move.
  3. Do cars get through traffic quicker if they play music by Rush?

  6. I'm a male (and I am) and I have a wife (and I do) .... then shouldn't I technically be a hetero-sapien?

  7. The Sarge thinks he's gonna cry like a baby when they can no longer be patched, sewn, repaired, mended, fixed ... It will be a sad day for Sarge when The Magic Pants are retired from active duty. Easy Peasy
  8. http://i.imgur.com/8jtJKKL.jpg Easy Peasy
  9. The Pants (and The Hat) are required uniform for outdoor adventure with The Sarge. It wouldn't be the same without 'em. Easy Peasy
  10. The Pants showcasing The Gut (The Sarge was heavier as a smoker. He lost 36 pounds after quitting) Taking a standing break somewhere up the Muir Trail in the Sierra Nevada Mountains Hiking is much easier (and peasier) without The Gut. Easy Peasy
  11. The Pants Hardening The F_ck Up an overlook above Yosemite Valley Aaaaannnnd The Pants taking a break because Sarge's Ass was SPANKED hiking up there (he was a heavy smoker in those years) Easy Peasy
  12. Perfect. ^^^ 10 out of 10 : would wear! Easy Peasy
  13. Since a woodpecker is called a woodpecker, shouldn't a woodchuck be called a woodchuckER ?

  14. The Pants (in shorts mode) just chillin' on some random, un-named trail in Arizona. Easy Peasy
  15. Unknown (precarious) location - but you can just make out The Shorts and The Hardening it took to cross that wall. Easy Peasy
  16. A Harden The F_ck Up hike from The Colorado River up to the Tonto Plateau and out across the Plateau to the Plateau Point overlook with The Magic Pants
  17. Taking it easy (in The Shorts mode - it was 117 degrees down there that day) and dipping into the Colorado River at the bottom of the Grand Canyon - those dogs were barking after a 14-miler down the North side of the Canyon ... and really weren't looking forward to the next two days of uphill.
  18. 16:20. That's ... uhhh ... Military/Sarge time for 4:20, right? Easy Peasy
  19. The Pants in iminent, grave, and mortal danger somewhere in the Kaibob. That was looong ago - some time pre-patches (which would put it pre 2005-ish... sorta ... maybe ... ???)
  20. Hardening The F_ck Up with The Pants after a COOOOOOOOLLLLLLD overnighter (had to scrape the ice off the inside of the tent - who knew? Ice in deserts ...) somewhere back-country in the Pinto Basin. That was a hard, hard night. You can see it in The Sarge's face. Easy Peasy
  21. The Pants @ The J-Tree Easy Peasy
  22. Hardening The F_ck Up in the Colorado Desert with The Pants
  23. The Ryan Mountain summit marker with The Magic Pants Easy Peasy
  24. Hardening The F_ck Up in The Mojave Hard to see burried under all that gear, but look just above the black kneepad and you'll see the rolled-up purple Magic Pants. Easy Peasy
  25. The Pants (in "shorts mode" - the legs zip off and convert The Pants into The Shorts) on some random wall at some random crag in Muir Valley Easy Peasy

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
