  1. Go go Robio! Easy Peasy
  2. Vinegar, straight up - Sarge doesn't dilute it - one onion, 6 or 8 garlic cloves, pinch of dried cayenne pepper, and a packet of Zesty Italian spices - the dried stuff you make your own salad dressing with.
  3. Good thing we quit, right? Easy Peasy
  4. The Sarge thinks he loves you, man. Easy Peasy
  5. I'm a Rutabaga! Easy Peasy
  6. It is time to leave the temple, Grasshopper ... Easy Peasy
  7. P90X - Ab Ripper X workout after running a Half Marathon yesterday. Sarge thinks he's getting into the groove on this exercise thing Oh - and Abs!
  8. Sarge finally got his abs. Here's a teaser - full update and pics at the end of the cycle (March 1st) Compare/contrast before: 4 more weeks and we'll take a few better pics... Easy Peasy
  9. It all starts somewhere, right? Welcome aboard. FYI: Wheat and sugar are not the enemy. Calories are. Have all the wheat and sugar you want, as long as your calories stay below your TDEE. Easy Peasy
  10. Classic Reuben ... but they are no longer on the menu. Gotta be heart-healthy and "good" for you, y'know? Doctor's orders.
  11. This addiction is BatSh_t Insane ain't it? You're free now - no fraternizing with the enemy, and from where you are now the vape is an agent of the enemy. Very good at what he does - lure you back. Cut down a drinking straw to cigarette size and suck on it if you need something to suck on.
  12. A metric crap-ton o' weed and an intravenous White Russian 24x7 and you should have no problems really tying the room together, right? Abide. Easy Peasy EDIT: on the whole "body transformation" thing ... right? I feels ya. Sarge got abs last month (4 pack - still too much lower belly flab but the top rows are exposed). Maybe another 5-ish weeks for the remaining thin layer to melt off and expose the Full Monte. 6-Pack Washboard Abs pushing 50 years old. Whodathunk it? Last time those puppies were seen was 1989. They've been hiding a loooooong time. Sarge. Is. Stoked. !!
  13. Mrs. Sarge is celebrating her "one month" today ... we're not really in agreement on that point 4 Mondays (28 days) does not equal Dec 15th thru Jan 15th (30 days). Meh. Here's to one month down and a lifetime to go. Easy Peasy
  14. It is normal. It goes away when you decide it goes away. It is fully under your control. Easy Peasy
  15. You're gonna have to try harder than that, right? We addicts - we'll find any old excuse won't we? Easy Peasy
  16. It starts with acknowledging this simple fact: we can't help you. Not all of us collectively, not one of us individually. It is you, and you alone who makes the choice. You alone. Choice. Easy Peasy
  17. It's how she announces she's awake every morning. 1) open eyes 2) yawn 3) roll over 4) Dutch Oven the husband Party Farty
  18. > Like she would let you know how UN easy peesy it is?? This is a woman who runs Ultra Marathons (longer than 26.2 miles) does P90X, Insanity, and her own weight training while logging a Marathon training schedule (4+ hours of exercise a day, with generally a 10-miler or longer run before breakfast most days). Sarge himself refuses to do more than 90 minutes a day these days. Pretty sure she can Easily Peasily handle any discomfort [mental or physical] of quitting. She just needed a few years to come to her senses about it. Greasy Pizza
  19. If you can't go just 15 more minutes, you need to slow down a bit and then you'll be able to run longer. Slow and steady wins the race, right? Her only complaint is constipation and gas. I'm not sure it's related as she's changed her diet at the same time for the duration of a P90X cycle. Other than that, no complaints and seems Easy Peasy from this side. Easy Peasy
  20. Mrs. Sarge has been off the e-cig for a full week now. Sarge's suspicion was wrong. Looks like she's one of us now. Easy Peasy * She did just buy 8 10-packs of gum, though. 400 pieces of gum over 400 smokes - We'll take it.
  21. This is a shill for Evo sales, folks. Don't fall for the sham. Easy Peasy
  22. On a good day, 15 or 20. On a bad day, up to 60 (and occasionally/rarely more), but that was maybe once a month, if that. Sarge has always called it at about 30, average. More than a pack, less than two packs ... most days. Put Sarge down for 30 a day, Mrs. Sarge for 12. Easy Peasy
  23. After 3+ years, Mrs. Sarge is giving it another go and this morning she begins Day 6 without a cigarette. No "attempt" in the last 3 years was more than an hour or 3 of "I'll just see how long I can go", and the previous serious attempt of 17 Nov 2011, when The Sarges "quit together" (riiiiiight) when she didn't even make it 24 hours. She is, however, sucking fast and furiously on a Marlboro-branded e-cig / vape sham on a continual basis ... but we'll take what we can get for now. For now. The Sarge strongly suspects a simple trade of one addiction for another will be the net result, but ... baby steps, right? Easy Peasy
  24. This is the beginning(yesterday) of the 4th week back (restricted (slow and short runs)) Next Monday it ramps back up to full speed and full distance, assuming no heel/arch pain. Looking good so far... Easy Peady
  25. Sarge hit 54 pounds down today. It's do-able, but a tad bit more challenging than quitting smoking. The problem is: you still have to eat to stay alive. RuNing helps. A lot. Sarge highly recommends it. Easy Peasy

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
