  1. To be fair: Unicorn Farts help. A lot. You just can't count on 'em coming 'round every time you need one. Easy Peasy Smell the rainbow
  2. Every time Sarge wanted a smoke, he hit the basement treadmill for a mile. Takes your mind off it for the immediate 8 to 10 minutes, and kills the urge for the next 2 to 4 hours. There were 1800 [ish] miles logged that first year. ;) Easy Peasy
  3. Sarge still carries around a 20-year-old expired military ID on this day, because on this day: free stuff. ;) Easy Peasy
  4. You don't get it because you are still suffering under the delusion that you are not an addict. When you know that you are an addict, you know why this shit happens. It's baked right into the definition of being an addict. Easy Peasy
  5. Reset that ticker. You. Fooked. Up. Easy Peasy
  6. Also works quite well for us common, everyday,garden-variety narcissistic jackasses. Easy Peasy
  7. Difficult is mostly imaginary. In the mind. Thoughts easily brushed aside in the face of bigger, more legit issues. It really is mind over matter. If you don't mind ... it don't matter. Easy Peasy
  8. > The craving's are real! > The pain is real! > The mind-******* of 'just one' is REAL. >do not want any sugar-coated BS about >'how easy it is' It is as easy or as hard as you want to make it. You are in complete control. Easy Peasy
  9. > how can I do this??? How can you not? We have to do this. Easy Peasy
  10. Yes. Really. Unless you fully embrace that you are and will always be an addict, you will fail. You. Will. Fail. You seem to be taking this as a personal attack. Sarge assures you it is not. But it will happen. Easy Peasy
  11. The Sarge merely points out fact. Any associated shame is of your own free fill. Sarge is not ashamed and shouts it to the world: I AM AN ADDICT. You are ashamed and in denial. You will remain a smoker. Enjoy that next cigarette, but when you do. remember what was said here. Remember what was said here. It's not as if you haven't been told again and again ... with the same damnedable outcome every damned time. It's time to wake the **** up, Tiffany Scew your misplaced shame. Do you want to live or not? Easy Peasy
  12. It is, in fact, quite true. Not only are you an addict, but you are an addict in ridiculous and continual, long-term [and possibly terminal] denial. You can't control shit about your addiction, as evidenced by the past 3+ years of failure Get over it. Dig yourself out of denial...or fail again. You are an addict. It's not "merely semantics", it's a fact. Until you full-on, no doubt, no denial can acknowledge your addiction without difficulty and without "having a hard time"... until you can do this you will fail again. And you will continue to do so, again and again. This, The Sarge promises. Easy Peasy
  13. It doesn't. Unless you smoke... and then it keeps going ... forever. Don't smoke ... and it goes away. Easy Peasy
  14. A cigarette is never a need. Never. It is always and forever a want. All the way up until the moment you no longer want. Easy Peasy
  15. All that bullshit goes away if you just hold out long enough. Gone away. Never to come back again. Just keep markin' time ... Easy Peasy
  16. Those people are idiots. They could do it if they wanted to. They just wanted to smoke instead. Don't be like them. Easy Peasy
  17. A successful quit starts with one day quit. A successful body builder starts with one day of moving heavy shit. See the similarirties? [A] Start. [2] One Day. [iii] Repeat ad infinitum. Easy Peasy
  18. Quitting smoking takes ZERO time and precious little energy. You are, literally, doing nothing where you used to do something. You spend more time and more energy procuring and consuming cigarettes. Be honest: It's uncomfortable to quit and you don't want to be uncomfortable. Time and energy are lies you tell yourself to avoid the truth. We've told you for years now: you can't have a successful quit without brutal honesty and truth. Easy Peasy
  19. Day two. Day one was The Great Unknown, but from the second day it was in the bag. Easy Peasy
  20. Sarge loves you. And all runners. Easy Peasy
  21. We never really feel it. We just keep on keeping on anyway. It's the only way. Easy Peasy
  22. Sarge ... noodles around in Phrygian Dominant when he gets the time here and there. Easy Peasy
  23. Is that a vintage Fender P Bass in your profile pic? Hard tellin'in the shadow but the headstock looks right. Easy Peasy

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
